Social Media Specialist

We are looking for an energetic, personable, and detail-oriented person to join our team. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of strategic social media and digital initiatives. This includes developing and managing marketing campaigns, creating and supervising channel accounts, and integrating interactive media into the overall business strategy for our clients.

The Day-To-Day:

  • Review and audit prospective clients’ digital presence as a whole and create a brand analysis for the liquidfish business development team
  • Develop social strategies in collaboration with Account Executive(s) and present to clients
  • Coordinate with Account Executive(s) on client needs and details
  • Create and manage clients’ brand voices across social and digital platforms including review sites and directories
  • Create content calendar for various networks for multiple clients
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Manage the clients’ brands by interacting on digital platforms
  • Monitor clients’ social media channels for mentions, feedback, opportunities and questions and respond in a timely manner
  • Integrate social media activities with other communication efforts (traditional media, PR, etc.)
  • Conceptualize campaigns and present to internal team and clients (outline campaign needs and details and relay them to team as needed)
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design and communicate any design needs to Account Executive(s)
  • Track analytics, create reports, and submit monthly reports to clients
  • Maintain a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is continually engaging
  • Attend events for clients from time to time outside of normal work hours
  • Work directly with clients for their social media and directory accounts
  • Stay up-to-date on industry news, emerging technology, and industry trends and make recommendations and adjustments accordingly

  • Strong understanding of UI/UX, branding, editorial and web layout, typography, and color theory
  • Knowledge of front-end web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus

The Day-To-Day:

  • Process business and technical requirements and accurately estimate time and effort
  • Translate requirements into secure, structurally sound, and easily changeable software
  • Develop solid back-end CMS and e-commerce solutions for small- to large-scale projects
  • Work closely with designers to implement responsive front-end solution
  • Interface with clients as needed

To Qualify You'll Need:

  • At least 4 years hands-on development experience in .NET technologies.
  • Competency in some or all of the following: C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, LINQ, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Dependency Injection/IoC, CSS/SASS, Javascript frameworks, Visual Studio, Git
  • Be driven, independent, and a fast learner
