EDM is Taking Over

EDM is Taking Over

I can't get enough of EDM. That is e-commerce and digital marketing. Did you think I was referring to electronic dance music? For those of you who don't know me well, EDM occupies my speakers 99 percent of the time. And I can't get enough! For some reason I'm able to reach a mental capacity that is unattainable otherwise. I'm obviously listening to EDM right now, and I'm smiling ear to ear.

It's been an amazing 10 years. In March of 2005 I started liquidfish as a college student while attending the University of Oklahoma. I built my first dynamic website when I was 15 years old. That was in early 2000. I had 12 pages pulling dynamically through a MySQL database running on a Linux server with PHP 4.0.1 (only the third release of the language). My client was able to modify their content through a "secure" area of the site. It was definitely a progressive idea for the time. Today, the words "content management system" are almost synonymous with the word "website."

Looking back, I realize the opportunities that were missed. Who wouldn't? However, today, I am the President of a digital marketing and custom development agency, liquidfish, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am surrounded by 20 of the most talented and creative individuals anyone could imagine. They definitely don't get enough credit, so cheers to them!

Over the years, my vision for this company has changed. We've grown from a small web design and development company into a creative branding powerhouse infused with full stack development capabilities. Take a look around our new website and you will quickly see that liquidfish has become an unstoppable team of designers, developers, copywriters, social media influencers, project managers and account executives. We create integrated brand experiences that engage, excite and elicit action from customers across multiple platforms.

If you haven't truly experienced the glorious sounds of EDM, please do. In fact, email me and I'll give you some recommendations. And, welcome to the new liquid.fish!
